Main Street Books is an independently owned used book store located in the middle of downtown Reedsburg. Just a short drive from Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo, WI, we are the area’s most popular used book sellers. Half price books and great selection are just a few reasons why Main Street Books is the favorite book store in the Sauk County area.
The inventory at Main Street Books is approximately 30,000 titles in genres for all ages. These include: Fiction, Mystery/Thrillers, Contemporary and Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, Inspirational Fiction, Westerns, Science Fiction, True Crime, Classics, Children's, and even Large Print.
It’s fairly simple to locate a specific book if you like a certain author. Many folks comment how easy it is to read through the shelves when just browsing. (Hint: the resale books are stacked horizontally) You’ll have to come in and browse to see how convenient this is!
The non-fiction area contains many books on topics from animals to zucchini including biographies, cookbooks, crafts, health, history, humor, religion, sports, travel and more.

“We’ve been in business since July of 2008. We started on a very small scale and have grown quite rapidly.
We sell gently used books at approximately half the cover price of paperbacks. Hardcovers are repriced at no more than $12.
After reading your purchased books you may keep them for your collection, or bring them back to earn store credit again. This system of buying quality books and returning has been very well accepted by avid readers living in the Reedsburg area as well as those just visiting or passing through town.”
Donating Books
We do not pay cash for your books, but you may bring them in to earn store credit. Please make an appointment with us before doing so. We may not be able to use every book you bring in due to the criteria we use for accepting them. You will pay a small percentage of your purchase even when using your store credit.

Main Street Books prefers cash and personal checks but can take debit and credit card payments. They offer a variety of bookmarks and unique greeting cards, as well as t-shirts and other small gift items for sale.
A Puzzle Exchange can be found in the back room of this unique used book store. You may borrow and return puzzles, or bring in your own puzzles to exchange them for “new” ones. There is no cost to borrow and return puzzles!
You can even come into the store via the red Main Street Books back door. Free public parking is just steps away from this entrance.
